My microworld (English)

In this program, pupils step into the captivating realm of hidden details, exploring structures and textures that can’t be seen without magnification.

What will pupils experience?

• getting to know the light microscope and how it works,
• observation of interesting and diverse samples under the microscope,
• matching the sample under the microscope to the photo of the real object in „micro-quiz",
• constructing a self-made „bastloscope" from a mobile phone and an optical lens.

Educational objectives of the program

Pupils will be able to:

• assemble their own observation sample,
• work independently with a light microscope – they get to know its parts and find out how they are used,
• use a mobile phone with a lens to explore the world around us.
