Plasma (English)

Pupils will explore plasma – where it’s found, why it matters, and how it powers both nature and modern technology – through exciting and hands-on experiments.

What will pupils experience?

• a playful quiz introducing the basic facts about plasma,
• observing the spectra of various light sources,
• formation of an electric arc,
• „cooking" the plasma in the microwave,
• experiments with a plasma ball.

Educational objectives of the program

• form a concrete idea of ​​what physical plasma is and what makes it unique,
• give examples of plasma found in nature and plasma artificially created by humans, 
• gain knowledge about plasma through direct, hands–on experience in games and experiments.
