Tides as a source of energy
Tilt the long tank and watch the small turbine in the connecting canal which is rotated by water flowing from a high-positioned tank to the lower one. The tidal power plant harnesses the flow of seawater during the ebb and flow tide to rotate underwater turbines connected to generators capable of converting the energy of the flowing water into electric energy. Tidal power stations are not widespread but are seen as having great potential as a renewable energy source. They can be built only on shores with great differences in sea level between tides.
