Herzpumpe
Compete with your own heart
Can you pump up the same volume of blood as your heart in one minute? The heart is an unpaired, hollow, muscular organ of the circulatory system working as a suction and pressure pump whose rhythmic activity contributes to the flowing of the blood in the blood vessels and maintaining blood pressure. Although the human heart is relatively small (like your fist), it is very efficient from the beginning to the end of life. In one muscular contraction it manages to pump 60??“80 millilitres of blood. It contracts about 75 times per minute, meaning that in one minute it pumps roughly 5 litres of blood, which is approximately the whole volume of blood contained in the human body.
