Leporelo-book of Architecture
Browse through buildings from around the world
Architecture directly depends on a particular place, a plot of land. The project should sensitively respond to the natural conditions in the area, characteristic features of its surroundings and specific requirements of the user. Have you noticed that there are more old timber cottages in the mountains than in the valleys or plains? Every farmer built from whatever material that was at hand. In the mountains there was less agricultural land, a lot of woods and steep slopes. People could not build anywhere, the houses were smaller, dispersed on the hills and made of timber on stone foundations. You must have seen pictures of traditional timber houses.
