Watch transmission using optical fibres
Optical fibres surround us at every step. Our data will run through them whenever we hit the computer keyboard, withdraw money from an ATM or make a mobile call. An optical fibre is a glass or plastic fibre consisting of the core and the coating. Information is transmitted by means of light. Rays of light fall on the core and coating interface and are completely reflected. They enable signal transmission over great distances and higher data transmission speeds.
