Examine the properties of different types of circuit
A typical characteristic of a series circuit is that a circuit interruption in any section of the circuit breaks the whole circuit. Consequently, its principal application is the switching and breaking of switches, circuit breakers or fuses. A typical application using a parallel circuit is in connecting multiple appliances in a household. An interruption of this circuit in any of its branches does not cut off the circuit in the other branches where the appliances continue to operate.
