Enter the room, press the button and the whole room will start to rotate. Try to move around the rotating room and throw a ball. Although we know that the Earth turns around its axis, we are too small to directly observe the effects of rotation. Our rotating room turns around 7200 times faster than the Earth. As a result you can more easily observe the effects of the Coriolis effect. This is manifested as visible deviation from particles moving in a straight line from their straightforward direction. In the northern hemisphere they deflect to the right, and in the southern hemisphere to the left.
