Pull the wedge upwards and drop it in the tank. It will push up a mass of water that will make a wave moving to the opposite bank. A tsunami is an extraordinary wave ??“ very long, very fast (up to 1000 km/h) and hardly visible at sea. Only in the shallow water at the shoreline will it grow to a height of several dozen metres. The waves do not lose much energy and travel over long distances. They arise mostly as a result of submarine earthquakes and impact large areas of the shore. Other causes of tsunami formation include landslides, volcano eruptions, extreme meteorological phenomena and, rarely, a meteorite landing in the ocean.
