Examine dynamic uplift with different types of wing
Switch on the fan and insert wings of different shapes into the strong stream of air. Watch how the dynamic uplift changes in relation to their profile and angle of attack. A commercial aircraft is much heavier than air. How is it then possible that it can stay up in the air? The aircraft wing has an asymmetrical shape ??“ its upper surface is more curved than the lower one. Air above the wing therefore moves faster that air below the wing and as a result the pressure above the wing is lower than below it. The difference in the pressures creates the uplift which holds the plane in the air. The fact that this asymmetrical shape is best for the construction of an aircraft wing was discovered by observing birds in flight and experiments with gliders.
