Database of Faces
Can you find your double?
You can use this exhibit to take a photo of your face and upload it into a database of visitor faces which is free to browse. It also contains an average face computed from all the faces in the database. On the human face we can identify over forty characteristic features, including the width and height of the eyes, the face, the forehead or the ratio of the height of the lips, the nose or the eyes to the height of the face and many others. Facial morphology is important in our everyday life where we use it to assess other individuals and attribute certain traits to them. It also has an application in medicine, such as in plastic surgery, or in criminal investigation to identify people.
