Try to find the combination of materials which produces the highest voltage. A galvanic cell is a device that serves as a source of electrical energy. It consists of an electrolyte and two conductive electrodes. As a result of chemical reactions a certain potential is established at each electrode. The difference between the two potentials is termed the electrical voltage. Our body contains freely moving ions, mostly potassium and sodium, which act as the electrolyte in our experiment.
