How good is your sense of touch?
Put your hand in the mysterious box, feel the object that is inside and try to guess what it is. You can verify whether your guess was correct by lifting the top of the box. You can also check your ability to palpate by starting a quiz and comparing your perceptions with the macrophotographs of the surfaces of various objects. Touch is one of the five human senses. Millions of receptors situated in the skin enable us to receive information from our surroundings. Thanks to these receptors we perceive pressure, pull, vibration, cold, heat or pain. They are distributed over the whole surface of the body with different densities. The most sensitive places for touch are the fingertips and the tip of the tongue. The fewest receptors are on the back.
