Create using a permanent magnet
Place metal objects on a strong permanent magnet and model your own magnetic sculpture from them. Atoms and molecules may behave in various ways in a magnetic field. Some substances are barely affected by the field (such as water, aluminium or wood). But some respond strongly to the magnetic field, amplify the field and may remain permanently magnetised even outside of it. These substances are termed ferromagnetic.
