Musical bench
Change the sound by varying the pressure
Hold hands with another person and place your free hands on the electrode pads on the armrests.
When the electrodes are connected through the human body, an electrical circuit is completed and the bench starts to play. A firmer grip, and therefore a larger contact area, reduces electrical resistance and the bench plays higher notes. Touching with a single finger increases resistance and the bench produces lower notes. What else can affect electrical resistance?
Original concept adapted from the Exploratorium, San Francisco; prototype by Ray Gruenig.
