Examine the insulation properties of different types of window
Take a close look at the presentation of the selected type of window, an overall view of the house or its thermal image. One of the important insulating properties of windows is the heat transfer coefficient. Ideally, it should be as low as possible. Another important coefficient is the solar heat gain. Unlike the insulating ability of the window, in winter it is desirable that the solar gain is as high as possible, while in summer it should be very low. Proper installation of windows can prevent heat from escaping. Today the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of glazing can be assessed based on thermal images of buildings which clearly show the distribution of temperatures on the surface of windows and highlight leaking window seals.
