Tretkraftwerk

The exhibit is composed of several appliances and power generators. By cranking the handle you produce the current in the generator needed to start the devices. On the control panel you can connect each of the three generators to one of the four appliances (fan, radio, mixer, and spotlight). You can link one, two or all three generator cables to one device and by concurrently turning multiple handles produce more energy. In this case the electric generator is a machine converting mechanical energy to electrical energy. Electric current is induced in the coils as a result of rotating a set of magnets (rotation of a magnetic field) around a set of coils.
