Energy on the scales
Choose the red food can representing input energy, put it on the scales and try to balance its energetic value with the green can which represents output energy. The ratio between energy input and output is called the energetic balance. If the amount of input energy is comparable with its consumption, there is no increase or reduction in bodily weight and we talk about an energetic balance. But if you exert more energy than you receive, you will start to consume internal energy supplies. In the opposite case, you will store the energy supply substances and put on weight.
